Cyber attacks attacks across the world have outraged twitter community
A reported ransomware attack has companies worldwide scrambling for their data and in a panic.
According to a post from Motherboard.vice.com the quickly-spreading ransomware outbreak has already hit countries such as Spain, France, Ukraine, Russia, and other countries.
Ransomware is a malicious software that blocks access to data or threatens to publish or delete it until a ransom is paid by the company/victim the software has targeted.
The Twitter community was fast to react to the alleged threat, with some claiming they too had been affected. At this stage, Motherboard.vice.com has been unable to confirm if the attacks are connected.
