Rolls-Royce gives back with the Caring4Girls Foundation

SANDTON – Rolls-Royce, esteemed customers and celebrities celebrated Women's Day by making a difference to girls who often miss out on school because they cannot afford sanitary towels.

Rolls-Royce, customers and celebrities celebrated Women’s Day with the Caring4Girls Foundation, which is committed to providing female scholars with sanitary towels, at the Rolls-Royce showroom in Rivonia Road on 9 August.

The Caring4Girls Foundation, established by the Imbumba Foundation, desires to keep girl children in school by assisting with sanitary towels.

Gerry Elsdon, a representative from the Caring4Girls Foundation, and founder Richard Mabaso gave moving talks about the impact of the cause in South Africa and how they are partnering with brands to support their continued growth and empowerment of women across the country.

To date, over 12 million sanitary towels have been donated to girls in need and Rolls-Royce hopes to help these numbers grow. Guests were requested to donate sanitary towels to the worthy cause.

One of the main speakers for the event was Rolls-Royce embroiderer Hannah Thornton, who travelled from the Rolls-Royce head office in Goodwood, England. She embroidered personalised leather mouse mats for each guest as a token of appreciation for their attendance and support of the Caring4Girls initiative.

Throughout August, Rolls-Royce will be collecting sanitary towels at their Sandton showroom to donate to the Caring4Girls Foundation.
