Heat wave with persistently high temperatures expected
JOBURG – Stay indoors and drink plenty of liquids – not alcohol, advises the SA Weather Service.
The SA Weather Service has issued a warning that a heat wave with persistently high temperatures was expected in Gauteng until Monday.
“Extremely hot conditions are expected over the western bushveld and Limpopo Valley until Monday,” said the SA Weather Service.
Residents were encouraged by the weather service to stay indoors in a cool room near a fan.
“Avoid strenuous outdoor activity, playing excessive sport and hard labour. Dress in light-weight clothes and drink plenty of liquids – not alcohol,” advised the weather service.
