Bryanston residents have complained of a days-long water outage in the area, believed to have been caused by a burst pipe on Bantry Road.
Joburg Water had warned of a planned outage in the area on 6 October however residents took to Twitter to complain that they had no water before the planned outage and are still without water, three days after the planned outage.

So in Bryanston no water on Thursday due to a pipe burst, no water Friday due to a pipe burst, no water Sat for tie-in. Will the tie in fix the constant water pipe bursts? or do we do this all again next week?

@JHBWater Hi there! I'm sure it's been reported but just making sure! There's a river of water running down Ballina Rd in Bryanston and it's been going for 2 days. Has it been noted? Thanks so much.
