The Johannesburg leg of the 2018 Property Buyer Show hit the Sandton Convention Centre this past weekend.
The show not only provided potential buyers with invaluable information but also had great value for the exhibitors who took part.
Networking and building rapport were the order of the day for the developers, with some achieving sales during the two-day show.
“The first thing we were looking for when we came here is qualified leads and the second thing is being able to speak to people in person about our products, it makes a difference,” explained property app developer Mobile At Work CEO, Donald Currie.
The Property Buyer Show also welcomed new developers, SevenCapital Property Developers, from the United Kingdom (UK) into the South African market who were optimistic about their future in South Africa.
“There’s a desire for people to learn a little more about the UK which is great and that’s why we’re here to give them that education. There’s also a few other UK developers here which shows you that there’s a demand,” commented SevenCapital’s Director, Johnny Conran.

A large number of the exhibitors such as Piccadilly Properties and Mobile At Work noted that the markets were different in Johannesburg and Durban with Johannesburg having more first time property buyers while the Durban Property Buyer Show brought out more investors.
Caxton Local Media journalist, Neo Phashe chats to Jaco Grobbelaar of Prosperity Enterprises.
Jaco drew a crowd at the show during his talks on how to invest in property. He explained Prosperity Enterprises assisted people build their property portfolios through educating them and outlining successful strategies for their property investments.
