Outpouring of grief on Twitter after music maestro Dan Tshanda passes on
SANDTON – Among those who have taken to Twitter to share their condolences are SA singer and songwriter Yvonne Chaka Chaka and City of Johannesburg MMC for Community Development, Nonhlanhla Sifumba.
Music legend Dan Ndivhiseni Tshanda suffered heart failure on Saturday and was rushed to Sandton MediClinic where he was declared dead.
This is according to the press statement published on the Dan Tshanda/Dalom Music/Splash Facebook page.
More details would be released in due course, the statement said.
Tshanda’s Twitter profile reads, “South African musician and producer for more than 30 years. SPLASH, MATSHIKOS, DALOM KIDS, PEACOCK, MONTANA etc.”
His last two tweets, posted on 1 and then 3 January respectively, served to wish his fans well for the new year:
