The African Food Festival will light up the streets of Johannesburg, with different African cultures showcasing all kinds of cuisine from all over the continent. It will be the first time South Africa hosts this epic journey filled with succulent, enticing and mouth-watering culinary delights from different home countries.

“We aim to create an opportunity for people to feel at home in the comfort of different African cuisines,” said the founder of African Food Festival, Rosta Maria.

In true African spirit, cooks from different countries across the continent promise to showcase the finest dishes, which most will be available to taste and purchase.

“This is to remind people about our uniqueness and ignite the love for African food,” added Maria.

Only twenty stalls will be available with different cooks from Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, DRC, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Rwanda, Malawi, Seychelles, Zambia, Mauritius and Cape Verde.

 

The African Food Festival will present visitors with authentic African dishes, a picnic at the park, live entertainment and celebrity performances.
