JOHANNESBURG – Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba hosts Inner City Partnership Forum.
The City of Johannesburg Mayor, Herman Mashaba together with the MMC for Development Planning, Reuben Masango hosted an Inner City Partnership Forum at the New Council Chamber, Metro Centre on 26 February.
This forum aims to work with the City of Johannesburg to achieve the rejuvenation of the inner city which is integral to achieving economic growth, investment and employment opportunities in the city.
The meeting gives partners and stakeholders an opportunity to present the work they have been doing in the inner city. Mashaba said the City had 150 buildings available to the private sector for development.
We are encouraged by the enthusiasm demonstrated by the Inner City Partnership Forum to work with @CityofJoburgZA in turning the Inner City into a construction site, reclaiming it from Criminal elements allowed to operate with impunity in the past

The #M2FullClosure is not a decision we took lightly, we apologize for the inconvenience, we just can't afford a situation where we lose lives while we are aware of this danger: @HermanMashaba #BuildingNewJozi ^NS
