The Sandton Police Station is calling on community members with information that will lead to the arrest of three suspects who robbed a jewellery store in a popular shopping destination in Sandton.
Police said three suspects entered the jewellery store pretending to be a customer and asked to fit certain watches and rings.
Sandton Police Station spokesperson Captain Granville Meyer said, “The suspects acted like customers and they wanted to fit on some watches. One of the guys took out a firearm and robbed the store. They took jewellery to the value of R8 million and an undisclosed amount of cash.
“Several watches were stolen including Rolex watches and diamond rings and diamond. The matter is still under investigation and no arrests have been made.”
The police are calling on anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these suspects to contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
