A shooting incident in the late afternoon on 25 September on the N1 North at Allandale Road, Midrand has to lead the arrest of four suspects after a shoot-out ensued between the suspects and police.
Local police on patrol were alerted that four suspects from Kramerville, Sandton were on the run after a robbery. They are suspected of robbing a victims of her Rolex watch and car keys, valued at R200 000 according to Sandton Police Station spokesperson, Captain Granville Meyer.
Meyer said the police were in hot pursuit of the suspects, who stopped on Allandale Road, Midrand and a shoot-out ensue as the suspects jumped out of the vehicle and tried to flee. “Two suspects were wounded during the shoot-out with police, one of them was critically wounded.”

Three suspects were arrested, the fourth suspect allegedly attempted to hijack a truck on the N1 North highway at Allandale Road, but was arrested by Tactical Response teams.

Meyer added that police recovered the stolen Rolex watch and two firearms were found in possession of the suspects during arrests. They also discovered that the motor vehicle the suspects used during the robbery had false registration plates on.
