Boys dominate in Fortnite school’s cup
RIVONIA – 16-year-old takes the Maverick Gaming Fortnite National Online School Cup, winning R25 000
As many as 80 learners from a number of schools gathered at the Maverick Gaming Centre in Rivonia on 7 December to compete in the final of the Fortnite National Online School Cup. With a guaranteed prize pool of R80 000, the six-hour-long gaming cup was sure to heat up.
The tournament consisted of five rounds to determine a winner and in the end, three young men came out triumphant. ‘Neymar’ came in first place with 55 points, taking home R25 000 and an additional R25 000 for his school, charity or college.
At just 16-years-old, the young gamer signed with the infamous Bravado Gaming in September, joining their acclaimed Fortnite team.
The second-place winner received R10 000 for himself and his school, charity or collage while third place took home R5 000 for himself and his school, charity or collage
