Road safety campaign hits Joburg
JOBURG – Joburg Metro Police community outreach unit have hit the streets across Joburg educating communities on pedestrian and road safety.
Metro police have taken their Buya Mthetho back to the streets by having numerous road safety awareness campaigns in parts of Johannesburg, including the inner- city, Sandton and Midrand since 7 January.
Metro police chief David Tembe said their community outreach unit visited the Sandton Gautrain Station where they shared information on pedestrian road safety.
There was also a pedestrian safety awareness campaign conducted near Bara Taxi Rank on 7 January.

The campaign also urges motorists to buckle up, to not drink and drive and be more aware on the roads.
