White butterfly migration has Twitter abuzz – not just in Sandton
SANDTON – Some Twitter users pointed out that the brown-veined white butterfly migration does not only occur in the northern suburbs.

It wasn’t an ordinary day in the richest square mile in Africa today (28 January) with many Sandton residents and those travelling around the area noticing what has been called a butterfly migration in Sandton.
According to Wildlife South Africa website, the annual migration of the brown-veined white butterfly in South Africa takes place during midsummer every year.
The migration not only happens in the Gauteng province, but it also occurs in parts of central, north and north-eastern parts of South Africa, with the numbers changing every year due to the climate.
