HYDE PARK – Hyde Park High School comes out victorious as it celebrates a successful inter-house swimming gala.

Hyde Park High School recently hosted a spectacular inter-house swimming gala.

The sunny day was spent pool-side where spectators and fellow learners were seen roaring war-cries in support of each team in every race. Even after the leading positions changed with each race, Grosvenor came out victorious, winning the inter-house gala. Rutland came in second place, followed by Leicester in third and Marlborough in the fourth position.

According to school spokesperson Avril Wright, the competition was fierce and the swimmer gave their all up until the very end to gain valuable points for their respective houses. “This event identified the multitude of swimming talent in the Grade 8 group and was the platform for selecting the school’s swimming team for the season ahead,” she concluded.
