Joburg’s northern suburbs record a 93% Covid-19 recovery rate
JOBURG – The City of Johannesburg has recorded a total of 1204 cases and 1019 recoveries.
The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that of the 478 Covid-19 cases in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs of Region B and E, 443 have recovered as of 18 May.
Region B recorded 181 cases and 158 recoveries while Region E recorded 297 cases and 285 recoveries.
Region B includes Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown, and Parktown North.
Region E includes Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.
The City of Johannesburg recorded a total of 1204 cases and 1019 recoveries.
Of the 122 unallocated cases, 90 have recovered.
The district recorded the highest number of deaths in the province at 12.
