Covid-19 screening and testing to be conducted at George Lee Park
PARKMORE – Screening and testing will be done at no charge.
The City of Johannesburg will be conducting free mass screening and testing for Covid-19 at George Lee Park (Sandton Sports Club) in Parkmore on 22 May.
Screening and testing will begin at 8am and will run throughout the day depending on the number of people in attendance.
According to the City, screening will be done to determine if a person should be tested. A PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) swab test will be conducted.
Targeted groups include those with flu-like symptoms, people over the age of 60 and those with co-morbid chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension, HIV and TB.
“The more we test, the better we will understand what is happening on the ground.”
