What are your thoughts on land expropriation?

LIZETTE KRITZINGER: I believe there is some truth to it but we don't have the full story. Expropriation should happen but vacant land should be used first.

With the recent release of an apparent list of farms to be expropriated, we asked Sandton residents whether they think the list is real and how expropriation should be handled.

JACQUES TRUTER: I don’t know if the list is real, but it will not work. The government first needs to use the land they already have before taking productive farms.

ALICE MBEYA: It could be real. We have become selfish and just want to take without giving. Qualified mediators should handle expropriation with compensation.

FRANK NGOYI: I’m not sure if such a list exists, but I think that the landowner should be checked if they own the land and expropriation should be with compensation.
