Sandton Seals impress at Gauteng short course champs

SANDTON – Bagging an impressive six medals among the three of them, Jade Miller, Jamie Gardiner and Ben Plattner of Sandton Seals Swimming Club represented the club well at the Gauteng Senior Short Course Swimming Championships.

The event took place at the Ellis Park swimming pool, and saw the three senior squad members bring home two gold, one silver and three bronze medals.

The outstanding performance came from Miller (15), who brought home one gold and two bronze medals. Gardiner (17) won bronze, and Plattner (16) earned a gold and a silver.

Dylan Jacobsen, coach at the Benmore-based club, expressed pride at the impressive performances from the swimmers.

“All three of these medal-winners [have] shown dedication, both in and out of the pool since they were junior swimmers… as they moved through the ranks into our senior squad,” he said.
