Montrose Night Challenge is rained out again
PARKMORE – The Montrose Night Challenge has been hampered by rain during the first two rounds.
The first two rounds of the Montrose Night Challenge has been hampered by bad weather.
Only two cricket matches were completed from the first round with the majority of the games still to be concluded. The second round of cricket matches was also rained out with only one innings of the first game completed.
The netball girls were also out of luck and were not able to get on the courts at all during the second round. All the points from this round will be split.
The two cricket matches that have been completed was Grayston Preparatory School vs Rivonia Primary and Kyalami Primary vs Crawford Preparatory Sandton.
Grayston scored 76/ 9 in their 20 overs with Rivonia reaching the total in 13 overs for the loss of five wickets to give them the win.
The Sportsmans Warehouse Man of the Match was awarded to Rivonia’s Nic Reis for taking 4/19 in four overs.
In the second match, Kyalami scored 95/6 in 20 overs. Crawford Sandton bagged the win after surpassing the total in 11.2 overs for the loss of six wickets.
The Sportsmans Warehouse Man of the Match was awarded to Crawford’s Matthew Mayne for his bowling figures of 4/10 in three overs.
