The first group of cyclists that took part in the annual Discovery 947 Ride Joburg have crossed the finishing line and the winners are Marc Pritzen for the men champions and Carla Oberholzer for the women’s champions.
Carla Oberholzer managed to finish the race at 2:41:00, an improvement from last year when she won at 2:43:49. First time winner, Marc Pritzen finished at 2:14:41
Carla Oberholzer said she was very happy with how the Demacon team performed at the 947 Ride Joburg with good stretches on Jan Smuts Avenue and in Kyalami.

The final starting group for the 947 Joburg Race will begin at 10.30am and a supporting procession for the final cyclist is expected at 4pm.
