WATCH: Mine workers march to Sasol’s head office in Rosebank
ROSEBANK - Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU) request R12 500.
More than 500 mine workers joined the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU) on a march to Sasol’s head office in Rosebank on 8 September to hand over a memorandum of demands for better wages.
According to a report by MineWeb, 1 600 workers downed tools at the company’s Secunda plant on 25 August to protest over wages.
The union wants R12 500 per month as a basic salary.
