Explorers to host discussion on botany
BRYANSTON – The Explorers Group meets once a month to discuss a variety of topics.

The Explorers Friendship and Chat Group will host their monthly meeting in Bryanston with two speakers talking about botany.
The group was started to give older people the opportunity to build friendships and host a variety of talkers to engage them.
This month the group will host Gillian Condy, a retired botanical artist at the South African National Biological Institute and Bill Mincer of the Wild Orchid Society.
Condy will be speaking about her photography of the Amazon jungle and her botanical art. Mincer will discuss the upcoming Wild Orchid Society Conference, the protection of the rare Albertina Sisulu Orchid and the dedication of the Walter Sisulu Circle at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens.
The talk will take place on 17 August from 10am. For more information contact Shelley on 083 409 7927.
