But, according to marketing spokesperson of Brescia House School Helga Bishop, the girls’ excitement and enthusiasm banished any dark cloud and the gala went ahead “without any glitches”.
Bishop said all the girls took part and swam in a variety of races to show off their swimming skills. The final relays truly showed the Christmas spirit with decorative ribbons and reindeer red noses being passed from one team member to another. And to end the day off, Father Christmas made an appearance in his raft, together with his Grade 6 reindeer to deliver sweets to all the deserving girls.
