A taste of student life at Varsity College Sandton

SANDTON - Varsity College Sandton recently hosted a successful open day event.

As Grade 12 pupils across the country begin thinking about their futures, the Varsity College Sandton’s open day provided an opportunity for them to get a taste of campus life.

“We applaud the matriculants of this year and their parents for taking time out of their day to attend the open day,” said Andre Lubbe, principal of Varsity College Sandton.

There were information tables highlighting the activities of the respective student bodies on campus, and stands representing the Student Liaison Body; VC Cares, the social responsibility organisation; the Varsity College Career Centre; as well as the Business School, which offers short, learning programmes.

Campus tours were arranged where pupils and their parents were taken around campus to gain insight on what Varsity College Sandton is all about. Mock lectures were also held to provide a glimpse at Varsity College’s approach to teaching and learning.

The Varsity College Sandton student advisors spent the day conducting interviews with prospective pupils showcasing the various study options at Varsity College Sandton.

“I am very pleased with how all the proceedings of our open day went. I would like to thank the parents, the scholars and every member of the Varsity College family who made this day possible,” added Lubbe.
