Spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, warrant officer Moses Maphakela, said that on 20 February the victim was leaving his home in Riverclub at 6.40pm when four suspects approached his car.
The victim was then shot by one of the armed suspects and died on the scene. Maphakela added that two suspects attempted to take the victim’s vehicle along with various belongings, while two others fled the scene on foot
Maphakela added that the two suspects in the victim’s car were arrested by ADT while the other two were arrested by the police. One firearm was found on the scene.
The four suspects will appear at Alexandra Magistrate Court on 22 February facing charges of murder and armed robbery.
