The pageant, which is in its third year, is looking for successful women who have what it takes to compete for the prestigious title.
In a statement, Commonwealth Pageants South Africa’s national director Anel de Swardt said the Mrs Commonwealth SA title’s main aim is to award women for their efforts in making South Africa a better place.
De Swardt said, “The competition is open to married women between the ages of 25 to 55 years old. It is so much more than a beauty pageant and can rather be seen as an empowerment programme for married women.”
The contestants will go on a six-month journey to the grand finale, and the winner will be crowned at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria in September, on a date yet to be announced.
Entries close 31 March.
