Joburg Water announced an emergency shutdown in Sandton, Fourways and surrounds on the morning of 5 April.
The shutdown is reportedly to repair an outlet leak at the Bryanston reservoir. Joburg Water’s Sandton depot closed the outlet of the reservoir to isolate the leak.
The following suburbs are affected by the shutdown, Beverley, Pineslopes, Lonehill, Dainfern, Fourways Gardens, Witkoppen, Douglasdale, Norscot, Craigavon and Magaliessig.
As well as, Paulshof, Epsom Downs, Bryanston, Country Life Park, Solridge, Millhill, Clevehill Park and Petervale.
There is no expected time of completion at this point, however Joburg Water will supply the community with updates as the day progresses.
