Comedy Central introduced students at Varsity College Sandton campus to the show’s new Roasting comedy.
As the words of writer and social critic, the late Charles Dickens so eloquently put it, ‘There is nothing in the world as irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour,’ and this was the case as laughter and smiles filled the college’s campus courtyard.
The event was also part of the new initiative, #Makelifefunnier, which is dedicated to supporting comedy and the comedic arts and to encourage South Africans to appreciate and consume more local comedy both live and on television.

The comedian line-up for the day was Dillon Oliphant, Richelieu Beaunoir, Eric Jansen, Ebenezer Dibakwane and Lihle Msimang. The event began with all comedians introducing themselves and then the roasting started.
Oliphant was up against Beaunoir, which was a roasting that left students in tears of laughter. The next round included Msimang and Jansen, who also left the varsity students laughing loudly while asking for more.
