Residents of Region E of the City of Joburg with longstanding billing issues are invited to a Billing Open Day at the Parkmore Recreation Centre on 11 November.
MMC for Finance, Rabelani Dagada said, “The City will deploy a large contingent of meter readers and personnel from the back office, billing and invoicing, customer interface, property unit, Pikitup and credit management to help you fix your municipal accounts.”
Ward 103 councillor Vincent Earp said he encourages residents to come out in their numbers to make use of this opportunity to resolve their longstanding billing issues, some of which have remained unresolved even after being escalated to the mayor’s office.
“Residents are frustrated with basic billing issues, some of which go back many years. This is a great opportunity to have your issues addressed as all the senior officials are going to be there and you don’t have to sit on the phone or wait for people to reply to your emails,” said Earp.
Earp added that residents must bring along all their documents and evidence related to the issues on the day.
Details: The event will begin at 9am at the Field and Study Recreation Centre in Louise Avenue.
