During a joint operation between various role players led to the recovery of a white Mercedes Benz – the suspect vehicle that has been terrorising the community of Sandton and Pretoria and used blue lights to commit robberies.
Brigadier Egen Moodley, Station Commander at the Sandton Police Station, said the joint operation was held near Pretoria by Sandton SVC and tracing team members.
The vehicle was recovered in Sunnyside. “The teams also recovered two pistols and 13 live rounds of ammunition. Fingerprints and DNA have been taken from the firearms and vehicle.”
He said no arrests have been made yet.
