CCTV footage has surfaced on social media whereby two victims were robbed at gunpoint outside the Falstaff Boutique Hotel in Morningside on 17 November after being followed from OR Tambo International Airport.
The hotel has confirmed that a guest arriving via an e-hailing taxi service was confronted by men with firearms on Longdon Avenue at 7.40pm outside of the hotel. The victim has reportedly just arrived from the UK.
Captain Granville Meyer of the Sandton Police Station has confirmed that a case of armed robbery has been opened at that station.
