Crawford Sandton hosts magical evening

BENMORE – The Grade 0 class of Crawford Pre-Primary School in Sandton hosted a night of magic and mystery with its Invitation to the Ball concert.


The Grade 0 class of Crawford Pre-Primary School in Sandton welcomed parents, relatives, teachers and friends to a special concert featuring princesses, princes and some special and magical characters at their Invitation to the Ball concert.

According to the school’s head of marketing Nadia Cooke, the concert was a resounding success. “The children were dressed in beautiful, bright costumes relating to their characters. Faces painted, costumes on and lines learned, it was time for the show to begin. The children performed spectacularly and every song and dance was delivered superbly.”

The learners happily participated in the incredible show, impressing their audience with their standard of performances, articulate choral verses, creative choreography, beautiful backdrop and above all, their confident acting.

“Behind the scenes, during the extensive rehearsal period, the children memorised their lines and practised their dances, aiding to their overall development skills. They even helped choreograph some of the dance moves – now that is impressive for Grade 0 children!”

She noted that the production helped those learners who are slightly introverted become more vocal and showcased multiple talents in others.

“There were tears of pride shed by some very happy parents who were immensely impressed with the professionalism and talent of the children. The concert was a tremendous success, the teachers all worked extremely hard to ensure the success of the production. Congratulations to all the Crawford Sandton Pre-Primary Grade 0 children, you may take your bow!”
